At Southern Kidney Specialists, our board-certified nephrologists look forward to restoring kidney health every day. We are the 2nd largest nephrology private practice in Middle Tennessee with offices located in Nashville, Cool Springs, Hermitage and Murfreesboro. We make our comprehensive care easy to access through prompt scheduling and even accommodate same day urgent appointments. We accept most insurances plans.
We choose physicians to join our practice who truly enjoy spending time with patients. Our doctors understand that questions about your health can pop up anytime and not just at your appointment. They pride themselves in their accessibility to directly answer these questions without multiple layers of go-between.
With our whole-person approach, we want to help you achieve your overall health care goals through prevention and treatment of kidney disease and hypertension. We will work alongside your primary care provider and other specialists to promote optimal health and balance.

Meet Nikhil Parikh, MD, MPH
Dr. Parikh is board certified in Internal Med, Nephrology & Hypertension. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL where he served as Chief Resident. He trained in Nephrology at the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL. After his training in Illinois, Dr. Parikh practiced in Sheboygan, Wisconsin where he also served as a Medical Director. He also has earned a Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology.
Dr. Parikh moved to Nashville with his family in Fall of 2022. His wife, who is a Cardiologist at Vanderbilt, and family (including his 2 dogs) look forward to all that Middle Tennessee has to offer.
Dr. Parikh’s clinics are located in Franklin and Nashville. He is available to see patients that are admitted to Williamson Medical Center, Centennial Medical Center, Summit Medical Center, Ascension St Thomas Midtown and West Hospitals.

Dr. Sayena Sajadi
Dr. Sajadi is a board-certified Nephrologist who brings with her over a decade of experience to Southern Kidney Specialists. She completed her nephrology training at the East Carolina University Division of Nephrology and Hypertension and has been practicing in the Nashville area for several years Residing in Brentwood, Dr. Sajadi is passionate about serving the community she calls home. She is now seeing patients at our Brentwood office, where she is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care tailored to each patient’s needs. In addition, Dr. Sajadi also treats patients at Williamson Medical Center and provides dialysis care at US Renal Care(Brentwood Location).

W. Nina Lowery, NP-C
Nina is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with deep roots in the Nashville community. She earned her undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University before pursuing her graduate studies at Tennessee State University. Subsequently, she achieved national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Raised in Nashville, Nina is passionate about serving the community she calls home. For the past five years, she has specialized in nephrology, providing comprehensive care to patients throughout Davidson and Williamson counties.
Nina brings a strong clinical background, a compassionate approach, and a commitment to high-quality patient care to our team.
